Default B18C swap - crank sensor problems

I'm swapping in my B18C1 from my 97 GSR into my 98 EX and I ran into a problem. The crank sensor plug on my EX harness has a 3-Wire plug and my GSR has a plug only 2-wires. I have the female end that connects to the GSR crank sensor but I'm not sure if i need to do some rewiring or just do a CFK bypass trick. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i used the cfk trick because my motor has no crank sensor (obd1 motor obd2 car) and it works fine... so unless you feel like repinning you could just do it this way take no time at all

incase you didn't find it http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm

since my motor has a crank sensor would i run into any problems if i just left the crank sensor disconnected and perform the cfk trick? the thing with obd1 motors is they don't have a crank sensor what so ever. so I'm just making sure I wont run into any problems if i go and do this. thanks for the inputs btw

itll throw a cel..
do you have the engine harness from the gsr? depin the civic crank pos sensor connector wires and depin the gsr ones.. swap the gsr connector to the civic harness.. match the two wires.. and cut/tape the third to the harness.. its unneeded..

just swap on the 2 pin plug from your GSR harness, disregard the black wire and just match the colors

Just match the blue and white wires. Disregard the last wire.
