CEL... FUN!!!
I just got my timing belt replaced! Thanks for the help you guys gave me! Anyway, it was on my old d15. The exhaust manifold on those is lame as hell, so I switched it with one from a d16 that's in my garage. Now I'm getting a 43 cel... What's the most common cause of this? Fuel pump, main relay, resistor box? Or could it be from the O2 sensor? My A/F gauge has always been hooked in near my manifold, so I hooked it up there again. It isn't working now either. I'm thinking of swapping sensors, but we all know how much of a pain that is. Thanks for any help!
I'm assuming OBD I. That's a fuel system supply circuit problem. That's where you should start troubleshooting. Sorry I can't give any better info, but at least you know what that code is. And before swapping sensors, ALWAYS do a circuit test to make sure you have continuity in your wires. This is done with an ohmmeter with a lead on the sensor end of the wire, and the other lead at the ECU end of the wire. If you have continuity, it'll give you some kind of ohm reading. You can go down to your local Honda dealership and they should make you a copy of the service manual pages you'll need for locating both the sensor wires and the location on the ECU plugs. If the service manager says he can't do it, tell him that's bullshit. My brother is a certified honda mechanic and knows they can give copies of pages out. Whether or not the dealership WANTS to is another story. Anyways, good luck.
The only thing I changed was the timing belt, and the exhaust manifold. So, unless it's a strange coincidence that it happened at the same time, I can't see it being what it says it is. But can the O2 sensor cause the ecu to throw a jfuel system code? I'm guessing it can, but it's ridiculous.
