ahhh i might be able to swing a mid 14....im not gonna say low 14 but i suppose it would be possible with slicks right? That might equate to like 140 whp or something right? maybe more i dont know to much about the ls motor for i have the loley D16Z6 in right now!

Re: 1/4 Mile Time Estimate! (chirp3rd)
i went to jacksonracing.com and they did a dyno with an ls motor B18B1 with i/h/e and it put down 129 whp and 118 lb torque with just basic bolt ons. That aint bad. So with a good pair of cams and cam gears, a bigger tb and intake manifold, and a good fuel and ignition system with nice tires and clutch...what do you say with whp and wtorque then? maybe 145-50whp? and 130 lb torquE? just my guesstimate tho...so with that you could do low 14's right? sorry for this long post...just tryin to get some info dudes. thanks

Well to give you a idea b4 my turbo I had every bolt on and cam's, and on my b18c which dynoed at 187NA I was running 13.9/14.1 all day long. A better track would of givin me better times I know but to give you a idea anyways. And I know that my 92 hatch weighted less then your coupe. SO realisticly I would give you mid at best to high 14's along with some LOW 15's.
Good luck either way and remember to have fun all the time.

Re: 1/4 Mile Time Estimate! (SPOOLIN)
your probably right dude although i plan on removing all seats (sept driver) tar is gone,radio/cruise/ac/ps/firewall/wind wash reservoir/lighter hood/all panels/seat belts/lighter- header-exhaust/1/8 tank gas! Id like to have my portly ex coupe from the stock 2390lb. to maybe a more manageable 2200 flat with my sway bar..strut bar etc. that doesn't include an ls swap tho...

Again, every climate, altitiude, strip, etc. is different.
I could sit here and tell you that I see LS-powered coupes run 15.1-15.4 all day long here in Atlanta, GA and there will be others who say "my boy ran 14.3 with no mods but bolt-ons" and ****.
I truly see low 15's from the LS-powered coupes/hatches here in my area, but that doesn't mean a damn thing unless you're here in GA, now does it?
And as far as a 14.2 on an NA LS-powered hatch goes, were there some nice cams and what-not, or are you thinking it was just all bolt-ons?
Whenever it's "my boy's car runs this..." how can we all be totally sure what the set-up is?
I think I understand it better now - the thread starter doesn't have that set-up yet, so he is trying to "run it" before he actually commits to it. That's understandable, but it's not a good method to "test and tune" before you buy the set-up.

Re: 1/4 Mile Time Estimate! (B18C5-EH2)
Hey type r bro chill the **** out. Damn you think you own this place cause of your car. I am not gonna lie, i read the like 500 posts people made about it and i am impressed...but just because everyone can't afford a Type r motor in their car, others have to ask questions about they're proposed setup. Nobody needs a smart *** man, this is a post, and sometimes you may just be too serious about everything. Like that other post about the civic ex and basic bolt ons/shifter....whats up with that conceeded attitude? Uh oh you might put up a post reading "Honda-Techs biggest *** clown PT2" Should we praise you?......... Pleeeeeese >>>>>>>

Re: 1/4 Mile Time Estimate! (B18C5-EH2)
Not all of us can shell out 5500 dollars for a freakin type r dude. You should try to understand why we hypothetically run the 1/4 in these posts... we all want fast cars, and we all want to spend as little as possible but sometimes this is not always possible. Others of us have things like car insurance, and car payments, so while we dream day and night of having a sweet ride, we ask questions...and PAY BIlls!
