Default diy fuel tank repair?

Got a small hole in the bottom of the fuel tank. I saw some "repair kits" available and they all seem to be some sort of epoxy based. Could I just use the 2 part epoxy I already have and plug the hole? Would JBWeld be suitable for such a task?

nope that **** wont cure properly if there's any gas around and the gas might eat it after it's cured, the gas tank repair **** works but don't expect it to last forever i hit something on the road one time and punctured my tank and used that **** it held up for about 3 months or so. just make sure the area around the hole is clean and u scuff it up so the expoxy has something to grab on i was on my way home to Ontario from Alberta so i was not going to change my tank in the middle of nowhere

Thanks, but they don't ship to Canada

I'm guessing using my already owned epoxy is out of the question. I'll see if I can source a "repair kit" around here

When I got my S14 240SX it had a small crack in the gas tank and I put some JBWeld on it...it lasted for a couple of months, but the crack was on the top of the tank, so I didn't really get it plugged off too good.

It may work, just give it PLENTY of time to dry.
