Something other than an h22 in the 97+ lude?
Ok, I'm still pretty new to the world of Honda motors.. just wondering if planning to get a block from Japan for my 98 'Lude, is there any better motor to go with than the h22a4? I know mounting, wiring, etc, would be a challenge, otherwise but what about the dohc 2.4 ivtec motor? Any other possibilities that could fit that are better than the H22?
Anything is possible with enough money and effort.
Most ppl here will tell you that if its not an H22 then its no longer a Prelude or something like that. But if you are willing to throw down the cash for all the custom work required to get that K24 in there, then you can do it. I don't think its a possible home garage job though

Mmmm... Well, it WOULD be a home garage deal. I know a few friends who are accustomed to swaps but I am curious to how much more it would run me to get a k series (+ all the **** that comes with it) rather than the h.
It's not the same generation. But read this read and listen to the logical points everyone made and try to ignore how ignorant and ungrateful this guy was..
A K-Series has been swapped into a 5thGen Prelude though.
[Edit: lol! Whoops, I forgot to copy the link into my post... Sorry.. I'm sure that was real confusing.. Here's the Link:

Something about an Accord H23VTEC+Cams makes me tingle all over. My friends near stock Dyno was insane! 190whp+/160tq+ with crappy bolt ons tuned on a vafc.
