Looking for a high flow turbo filter. See what is happening to mine inside
I have a K&N air filter on my gt30.
Looking for something that flows better than this.
The gt30 is sucking so much air it is concaving the filter..

Just curious, how how does it get under your hood? one of my buddies had that happen to his in his 240SX with SR20 and it was more because of the heat that was generated that made it brittle and weak. Once the underhood temps were corrected, no more problems. Also with K&N

I would think the OP could build a cold air box for that filter to keep heat away, maybe a custom hood scoop too

i heard geoff saying that k&n were giving him problems b/c overtime they wouldn't last as long. and he recommended green filters, i know a few people on clubrsx.com had been using them w/ no problems. i also got one too here are some pics of mine.

I've never seen a K&N do that as a result of it being sucked in like that, was the filter new when you put it on? I've seen filters get bent on something, once the metal screen around the filtration material gets bent then it will loose it's shape easier.

^^nice call. like a soda can, once its been damaged on its side thats going to be its weak point therefore making it easier to crush.
have you tried a filter the shape of a perfect sphere? that should be the most structerly sound IMO.

That filter has less than 500 miles on it, it was pefectly new when i got it

This filter is a 4" K&N? You don't happen to have the part number for this filter, do you?
I've been having a hell of a time finding a filter short enough to fit.
