Default stripped bolt stuck. need help

ok i was trying to install my rear camber kit for my ek, and i go to take out the two bolts going to the chassis and one is stripped and will turn and turn but never come out. ive tried using a crowbar to pry against it so there will be pressure while im pulling it out and maybe come out but its hard to find a place to pry on. so my question is does anyone have in wonderful ideas on how to get this sob out or should i just go to the shop and have them cut it, drill it, and re-tap the hole with a bigger bolt? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

sounds like the nut that is welded to the inside of the subframe broke loose. you'll have to cut and access hole in the subframe, weld the nut back, then weld the subframe back up...it's a big job, but I had to do it on my hatch.

I had a similar problem:

Try using a bolt extractor first.

appreciate everyones imput i believe my best bet since its stripped will be to do drill it out and re-tap it which i will probably take it somewhere and spend a half a million dollars to do it because i do not trust myself to not screw up. but again thanks everyone

TRY USING A BOLT EXTRACTOR FIRST. It's only like $2 to try it!

how exactly does it work? im thinking it probably wont help. the bolt is spinning freely its just not backing itself out. i mean i can wedge it and twist on it for about an hour and it will come out maybe 1/4 of a millimeter.

IF THE WELD NUT ON THE BACK SIDE HAS BROKEN LOOSE, EVEN TRYING TO DRILL IT WILL JUST KEEP SPINNING THE WELD NUT.

if that is the case, you need to cut it off, cut an access and re weld a new nut, or go oversize. a drill / extractor is like a left hand screw that is designed to have a hole drilled in the fastener, and the extractor either hammered into it, it is the small coarse extractor and turned c.c.w. to remove the fastener. or like the snappy matco extractor, it is long and left handed also, it is designed to be turned into the drilled fastener removing it.

but again, if it is just spinning in the hole, chances are the weld nut is broken loose. and will probably not work.

i can tell that the welded not is not broken loose because it will get tighter like its caught threads and then loose again when it hits the stripped threads and goes back in a little bit.

try to cut the bolt head off, drive the remnants through the back side, and oversize it. and let it eat.
