need help stripped nuts

Default need help stripped nuts

ok so the problem is my friends and i are idoits and while trying to take off the rear struts we strip one of the lca 10" nut and now im screwd its basically rounded off so is there any shops that can do it or any technices i can try thanks

happened to my bro. broke a rusted bolt he jus got a drill and drilled it out

you can get the strip tool from sears or something. its a bolt that goes over the striped bolt and then you just turn it out with a socket and a ratchet

you can drill it out with an "easy out" or bolt out or similar..

or you can weld another bolt on top of the rounded one and remove it that way

or you can cut it with a saw-saw

I've never tried this...this is pure speculation..but what if you tried with a pair of channel lock or something? No go? (no flame plz, I've never tried this) Get a torch and heat it till it's soft, but not mush.....then it should come off with a pair of pliars, if you can't get them in there, the only thing I've found to work is to cut it off.

Or

Try drilling with a bit slighly bigger than the bore of the bolt, if you hit it just right you can cause a stress fracture in the nut and it'll come off afteru play with it a bit, just becareful not to split the bolt tho
