Car idol low when i turn on A/C, sometime engine die out
what could be wrong? it a 97 honda prelude, turn on A/C and it idol low and sometime engine die out... could it be the load sensor going bad?
where is load sensor on 5th gen prelude located?
where is load sensor on 5th gen prelude located?
how does the A/C work when it is up and running? (if it even gets there)
and its "idle", not idol
and its "idle", not idol
idle at 800 RPM when A/c not on and when A/c on it drop down to like 300 RPM and sometime die out at stop sign..
raising idle screw wont help.
i think the clutch in the A/C compressor is stuck?
or load sensor...
what you guys input?

Well I doubt the compressor clutch is stuck, otherwise there wouldn't be any drop in rpm, it would just be a constant drag.
I also don't think it's the ELD (electronic load detector), as the A/C is a parasitic drag on the belt system, the electronic part of it is not what causes the RPMs to drop. A possibility would be the compressor is starting to sieze up, which is causing the belt system to work harder to turn it. I would say raise the idle and see if the drop follows consistantly with it. So, if you raise the idle to 1000 RPM, is should drop to 500 RPM when kicked on. That would at least give a little better idea of what's going on.

that will only cover up the problem at hand.
