Default Civic Powered Conversion. LOCKS NOT WORKING!! HELP!

Alright I have a 1997 Civic Hatchback. It doesn't come with any power options so ahead and did the conversion.

I bought some some 99-00 doors, with all the power windows/mirrors/locks

Keep in mind the car is a 1997 hatchback.

I went and bought a 96-98 floord harness from the EX and swap that in.

I then installed the doors. everything plugged up just fine. Windows work, Mirrors work, Locks WOULD NOT.

Its not fuses, because all checked out. It came down to the "DOOR LOCK CONTROL" box or what most people call the RELAY. Its that blue or gray box.

Since I got 99-00 Doors, the DOOR LOCK CONTROL box is not located on the door itself.

I have the DOOR LOCK CONTROL that I pulled from a 96-98 power doors.

So do I wire this up into these 99-00 Doors to make my lock work??

I know someone else out there must have had the same issue. Help me out.

THANKS

yea man I have searched and searched and can't find an answer to this. I figure most people with this problem don't know how to ask or know where to start and just take it that they have a broke door lock.

I will try to figure something out and when I do I will update with the solution. Until then BUMP for help!

if I remember right right, there was a thread on here that said something about the door locks going through the radio. I think it also had to do with the key fob and the dome lights coming on when you unlocked the door. not sure but maybe this will help you search for something different. good luck.

That is quite interesting. Tho I had a set of black doors from a 96-98 on there b4 and everything worked fine. So it can't be that since its the same scenario, and basically the same wiring.... I am bummed....

I am pretty sure that the door lock has nothing to do with the radio unless you have keyless entry...I am also having this problem, with not being able to utilize the power locks. So BUMP for some help--PAGING MONICLE

You could try to get the 96-98 driver side door harness. It should have the PWR door lock controller plug.

yea.... couple posts up I already posted that i have already done so.

When i got my alarm installed. They say my hooked up the keyless entry but the 2 wires they spliced into (on the floorharness side by the kick panel w/ blue connector) was going no where. on the dash harness side of the connecter there were empty holes!

wires are GREEn/ORANGE and GREEN/WHITE

yeah youre going to need the 96-98 door harness because it will have the connection for the power lock controller. you are going to want to check for power to the white/green going into the box. and obviously the black should have continuity to ground. start with that and let me know. also you installed the required fuses right?

got him squared away. for anyone else who has done the install check your under hood fuse#51. its a 20amp fuse in the middle of the side closest to the fire wall. if you installed without disconnecting your battery its probably popped.

AWESOME, damn alarm place mislead me about the missing wires. blaming that that is why my doors wont work. It was just a fuse under the hood, it was popped.

So yea any of you who has 99-00 doors on ur 86-98 hatches with 96-98 floor harness, you will need the 96-98 door harness and the door lock control box. EVERYTHING IS PLUG AND PLAY, Dont mind the missin wires! anything ASK MONICLE! GENIUS!! THANKS
