Default Motor Sputtering when driving

Just got a question for u guys...i tried searching but i wasnt entirely sure how to look up...I recently did a JDM H22A w/LSD swap and i seem to be have a couple of issues. It seems to be that when im about to ride out... the car starts to sputter unti l reach about 2500-3000rpm...But thats when im driving normal but when i wanna try it out (as in Punching it) it starts to sputterall the way up to when vtec kicks in then it goes normal...I was thinking that i probably need to get it chipped then tuned..or is it not throwing suffecient amount of fuel...or is it misfiring ...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

First thing I would do is double check the ignition and cam timing....I wouldn't get it 'chipped' just yet...

so ur saying that the belt coudlve jumped a tooth? or just some adjusting...would it be a good idea to buy an MSD cap? since i already have a blaster 2 (converted to external ignition coil)

Yeah, probably not the most likely thing, but stuttering is a consequence of having the timing off a tooth. Also the tensioner could have slipped or something...you never know.

I would skip the MSD cap and coil...won't do anything except raise your chances of having problems.

Yep, among the things Honda has done very well are the ignition systems on their cars.

Coming from someone who has had their share of ignition problems, stick with honda stuff.

Those cams shouldn't cause you to sputter down there like that, I would check ignition timing first, then take a look at the spark plugs. If neither of those are it, come back and post up again.
