Default Is there a way to take off a door panel w/ the door closed?

yea, so i tried opening my door from the inside today, and it just kinda made a weird sound....and now i cant open my door. it wont open from the inside or the outside, i think it has something to do with one of the rods that actuate the latch because if i try to roll down my window it stops about half way and cant go any further...

i'd like to do it cleanly w/o breaking anything

Sorry, man...not going to happen. The dash will stop it and so will the door frame on the left.

Maybe you could take the window switch trim piece off and get to it from there....

i cant get to it from there....

i can tell that its caught more toward the rear end of the door, because when i close the window, it leans foward.

eek, so what are my options??

Have you tried pulling on the metal rods behind the window switch trim? Those bars go all the way back and connect directly to the latch...

what exactly happens when you pull the door handle? does it feel looser than usual or does it feel normal and the door just doesn't open?

Since neither the inside or outside handles work, you know its a problem down the side of the door. That part is hard to get at even with the door panel off.

Good luck dude, if you have to cut it, we should be able to help you find another one

no it actually feels tighter on the inside.....the outside isnt moving anything so it feels really loose.

the lock also wont unlock all the way, so its stuck locked

i actually have some other door panels here at my house, they are just tan from when i did my conversion....
