need help imediatly working on car today please respond.. vtec to non vtec
i am doing a job for my manager she has a 93 civic with aa blown engine the engine is a vtec and i am puting in a non vtec crx engine. will the stock harness be ok to use???? i have the engine and the computer and i was told the engine will bolt up to the tranny i just need to know if the wiring harness can be used(is the distributor wires different) and what i would need to do to make it work. please respond imediatly, i need help.

As long as it's '92-'95 everything - every plug will be peachy and fit nice.
As far as the VTEC plug and the VTEC oil pressure plugs go? Just tie 'em off someplace. Use the harness already in there.

thank you so much that all i need to know, i fugured ima just take out all unessicery vtec stuff and call it a weight reduction, ahah. good lookin out though

Ahh, you'd be a fool to cut the VTEC plug out of the harness for weight reduction- just tie it off someplace with a zip-tie.

aahha man i aint talkin bout the plug im talkin bout the solinoids and filters and **** llike that. idk i aint ever really built a vtec befor so i dont know what all it has, ya no.but anything thats not nessicery that takes up space is comin out.
Yeah thats what I want to know too. I thought crxs had some diffrent wiring. Also never try and swap a motor or do any automotive work for you boss.

nah man you need to find a 92-95 civic engine. that crx engine is obd 0 and the wiring is different.
thats what i was thinking. this guy is about to drop a motor in and get fucked on the wiring. sucks to be him
You can put the obd 0 motor in the car, but since obd 1 motors are so cheap it would be alot easier.
