Compression test results after 250,000 miles...
I just did a compression test on my '90 Civic Si Hatcback's engine. No internal work has ever been done on it, it's all stock original. The test was performed with a warm engine, all plugs removed, throttle wide open, stock air filter and intake tubing in place. Here's the results...
#1- 191
#2- 185
#3- 187
#4- 192
I was pleased with the results. Thanks for reading.

Thanks! It could just mean there's lots of carbon build up,
, but from what I could see through the spark plug holes, it didn't look bad.

well the engine doesn't consume a lot of oil does it?
With that many miles I am very impressed!!
What type of oil do you use? normal? synthetic?
How often do you do oil change's?

5W-30 Penzoil dino oil and Honda filter every 3500 miles. Lately it's been down about 10 ounces at the oil change intervals. I should have bought two of these cars back in 1990!!!
i have 2 89 hatches and took the 270k motor out af the one i am building and put it my other civic i bought with a bad timing belt and sat since 1998, and it runs great and is redlined and driven hard with over 285k on it now(all stock). i love my honda!!!
