Default Oil pan gasket trouble

Hey guys I just dropped my pan and welded up the oil return. I thought I had another oil pan gasket but I dont. I want to get this finished quick. The engine is an OBD0 JDM B16a. I went to the honda dealer and got a new gasket.

Part number 11251-P30-004. This should be correct right?

I need some tips for installing it. I know the torque spec is 7 ft/lbs.

What is the tightening sequence?

I also got permatex ultra grey. Does that go between the gasket and pan, gasket and engine or both? how much do you use?

Any other tips?

Thanks!

Default Re: Oil pan gasket trouble (TurboEM1)

U can get the gasket at vatozone or any parts store.

Torque spec is actually 9lbs, at least for a GSR motor.

I don't use any permatex on the oil pan gasket.

Tightening sequence is from midlle of pan outward, thats always the tightening sequence for anything that can warp, head, valvetrain, etc......

EDIT....I would invest in a manual for your car if something as simple as an oil pan gasket is giving you trouble.....
