Default 1996 EK9 GSR gauge cluster????

i have an ex cluster in my car at the moment that only revs to 8. i just built my head with titanium skunk2 retainers and skunk2 valve springs and ferrea valves and im going to be reving a tad bit higher ha. and im looking for a dif gauge cluster to see those revs. i dont want a big tach on the side, and i dont wanna shell out the 400 dollars for a CTR carbon cluster (unless i have to) lemme know some other options. thanks guys!!!

With those mods sure you can rev higher.

You still wont be making power up there.

He is right do you have anything done to the block?? If your car is tuned you should know what it makes power to. Just set the rev limiter 3 -400 rpm higher than that. Really with your motor it probaly wont be that higher. Mine is set at 9500 and I still run the stock ex cluster. I have hit the rev limiter a couple times and now I just know about where it is. Easy way to save money.

Naw, with the right cams he can.

Though that's not even what's funny about it.

It seems the OP is one of those people who thinks he can add titanium valve springs/retainers/keepers and bump his redline. Then 2 months down the road he's gonna wonder why he has connecting rods chillin' outside his block after he got it tuned.

THE BOTTOM END CAN'T TAKE THE REDLINE, EVEN IF THE TOP END CAN.

You need to build the bottom end before you have hopes of safely revving higher.

Ptobably still fster that your b16. And thnks for the info guys. I know I have to build the bottom end. I appreciate the input tho. And I knew about the Si cluster. The main reason for the post was to see if nyone could led to where I could get one, but I guess I should have stated that in the first post. Anyone know? Anyone selling an Si or CTR cluster?
