yesterday i was trying to wire up a oem resistor box on my 94 civic hatch with odb1 harness. on the dead plug i only have 7 wires in it. is this normal? i have all 4 continuity wires which i solder onto the red wire on the resistor box. then i only have 3 wires left which goes to the black ones. but where is my 8th wire?

 

 

as long as you have the 4 wires leading to the injectors and at least one other one for the red on the resistor box you are fine. I wouldnt worry about it.

 

that missing wire is probably going to a sensor your vehicle does not have.

no biggy, just find the 4 lighter yellow colored wires and those are the injectors. verify that with a multimeter.
