Default fidanza flywheel question

hey everyone, i have an obd0 b16a motor. my tranny is a Y1 tranny. im looking to buy a lightweight fidanza flywheel for my setup.

would this work? what transmission do i buy for? http://www.spiderautomotive.com/flywheel2.html

and for the people that have a fidanza flywheel, do you like it? any gains?

i just installed a fidanza 9.5lbs on my b18c-R. revs alot faster. but for a b16, i would go with a heavier flywheel so you dont lose much on the bottom end. took 2/10s off my 1/4mile time with a 1mph more trapspeed with a lightweight flywheel and exedy clutch combo

was there a big difference in speed? isnt a flywheel of that weight supposed to free up power to the wheels?

yes with less weight it does free up hp but then you will lose some down low. especially on b16s. if your motor isnt fully built then i would just go with a 12lbs flywheel

so you know a light wheight flywheel will help more down low.. you will go from going up hills in 3rd or 2nd to going up them in 5th with ease!! it is also acutally better for road race because of the faster rpm movement..more engine braking and quicker acceleration..and is better to have one that is a little heavier for drag because the rpms will drop quicker with a light one while shifting as opposed to a stock heavy one.. overall a light weight flywheel for a daily driver, weekend warrior is a great investment and you will be happy!!

by the way i have one for sale..$113 7.5lbs.. loved it with my lsvtec and it was on when i ran my 13.8@104

yeah the only down fall of having such a low weight fly wheel is when you shift the rpm's fall faster then with the heavy weight flywheel I have the fidanza (7.5) fly wheel on my car but I still love it

90-91 integra is different to 92-93 integra.. and both Y1.. B16A Transmission is 90-91 integra.. Just hope they never changed the transmission.
