Short shifter saw
I have a neuspeed shifter and I want to saw it down so the shifter is lower inside the car. Only problem is that the neck of the shifter gets fatter as it goes down and it is at kinda of a angle
I thought about putting it on the lathe and turning it down so a shift **** will fit on
Anyone have any suggestions?

back in the day before I even heard of a short shifter I had a fiero gt.
I didn't like how tall the shifter was and realized that by cutting it I would shorten how far I'd have to move it to make a shift.
If I would have known how popular it would be I'd be rich now.
I took it to a machine shop around the corner and had about 2 inches cut off and then they cut thread into the shaft some how. It worked great although I might have had it cut to short. Needed alot of strength to shift.

Its pretty low and you can get one for about 70-80 bucks. Im inpressed with it. Neuspeed doesnt appear to me as a Japanese performance part mosre strictly to European.
