Hey i have a 94 honda civic with stock suspension other than lowering coilovers, after installing the lowering coilovers the car started bouncing too much and reacting too much to bumps and pot holes and little bumps, why is my car bouncing so much?? any ideas???

 

It's bouncing because the spring rates are too high for the stock dampers, and you have also reduced your overall suspension travel.

 

In a few months, your shocks will probably be history.

 

May have likely blown your stock dampers as well. It's critical when looking for a good ride to match good springs in combination with good shocks. With your setup, I can assume that they are not matched too well.

IMO, next spare bit of money you get should go into getting some good shocks for lowered setups, before something gets damaged that you can't replace.

 

So do i need to buy aftermarket dampers or aftermarket shocks or what to make it drive as it should...??????

Dampers=Shocks=Struts

Look into what others have found to be good Spring/Strut combos. Not a good thing to cheap out on, but a modest bargain is acceptable.

Skunk2's alright. A little stiff (my experience), but okay. You may want to look into other brands. Skunk2's good, but nothing to write home about in terms of their simple springs.
