Default V-tec switch

i was wondering about making a switch to engage vtec. will it work with my 0bd 1 conversion kit for my ef?

This one pops up quite a bit and the answer is a resounding NO, Vtec is designed to run with specific fuel trim at specfic RPMS and a switch will just make the vtec work but it will not feel like anything but less than factory as far as pull and possibly harmful to the engine due to such improper air/fuel mix...........just let the factory ECU or reprogrammed ECU with proper dyno tuning to control the best vtec engagement
