Default CD Player install

I want to install my aftermarket cd player into my 91 rex and I noticed that there is virtually no mounting location. No brackets to attach to, nada. what do you guys do? Can you buy a mounting plate for an easy install? I dont want to bend, cut, and make my own brackets if I can get a cheap part for install.

my cd player came with a metal "Din" sleeve that literally just clicks into place and holds the stereo to the console. i think every stereo should come with that sleeve, if yours didnt, try sourcing one.

yea most cd players come with a single din sleeve that you bend the pins out once you have it in the console. pretty simple really.

Absolutely. The DIN sleeve will support the stereo. If you still can't figure it out, just take it to an audio shop or Best Buy or something as a last resort.

my sony came with a sleeve, and L'bracket type rear support piece, I used those, But I DID NOT bend tabs out in sleeve to lock in place. The CRX has a downward tilt to the radio so it never moves at all, and when I go out of hickville and into cities/bigger towns I am capable of removing my whole head unit in about 10 seconds. Even with removable faceplate I still know of many stolen so i put it in my backpack if using one, or simply put in cargo bin out of view. It would take less time than that if i didnt have amp hookups. Small anti-break-in help, and i like to deter the mother -frucking thieves away from my car. Just a thought...
