Default Install CD player

I am going to use the DIY on here to install my after market cd player. I'm only confused on one thing before i take my center console apart. I have a connector that came with my cd player, is that all i need, just "plug and play" with nothing else needed to be done?

heres a pic of what i have:

For the most part, yes. You also need to buy a dash kit to hold in the deck. They go anywhere from 15-18 bucks at stores like best buy or circuit city.

Thats a pretty ghetto installation. All you need to do is remove the ashtray assebly. From there, you can insert a 1/4" rachet with a 8mm socket to unbolt the radio. Then just pull it out. You might wanna consider getting a small antenna extension. If not, try pulling on your antenna cable reallllllly hard to get it to unclip from the dash metal frame. Then you should have enough length to plug it into your radio. Screw your ashtray assembly back into the dash. Pop in your dash kit, pop in your cage, plug in your harness and antenna, and slide in your deck. Done.

That sounds a lot easier, i think i might do it that way.

This install seems very straight forward, a lot better then ripping out the center console.
