install cd deck??????
Just got a new cd deck and wanted to install by myself...cause the place charge a 30 dollar installation fee...that f** up...I heard many people say is not worth it....so does anyone have anyidea how to install a cd deck....I did try to pull out my orginal cd player but it won't come off....any screw involve....thx...
Yes, there are screws....take out the ashtray, reach way the hell back there and they point upward. There might be 2 more on the underside that Im forgetting about as well. You might find it helpful to remove the center console as well.....or just paying the folks $30 and getting the adaptor harness and mount kit for free.

if that's $30 including parts and labor then that's a good deal. the install kit (or dock) will cost you close to $20, with the harness another $7-10.

If you've never installed a stereo before I would say cough up the $30.00 and have it done right. It seems simple enough to do but for a first timer I can forsee problems.
Where did you buy the stereo from? Usually when you buy a new deck the shop installs it for free you just have to buy the harness.
If you really want to install it yourself I'd reccomend sitting with a friend who knows how to do it so you get a good feel. Thats how I learned, then eventually installed my own stereo, and moved on to knowing how to install a full system. Good luck!

Yes, but if you dont do it yourself, you never will be able to. Thus, it might be worth taking the 2hrs to figure out how.....however you might lack the skill to ever really gasp mechanical things, thus you might be the type person that doesnt care about how and just wants it to work.
Agreed.. thats why I mentioned to sit with someone who knows what they're doing if he really want's to work on it himself. I agree with the trial and error but sometimes stereo's and wiring in general can be a pain if you've never dealt with it.
I was lucky to have a friend show me the wires, what connected to what and how to cleanly install/wire things.

if someone can show you how to install the cd player it is easy to do. when i first thought of installing a cd player i didn't think i could do it and one of my friends showed me and i never thought it could be that easy.
