Default Pretty CrAp TaStIc 1/4 mile times...

We'll I was pretty un-impressive.

My best time?

My first run....16.5 at 88MPH.

Here's why...

-NO launch. My stock clutch would have been toast.
-Sipping clutch past 5000 RPM, so I shifted WAY early.
-I ended up in 5th gear to keep the clutch from slipping
-The "ghetto" wastegate ended up giving me 5-6psi at WOT

Doesn't it suck to know that your car can run 13-14's, but because of the stupidest little problems you end up running 16's!!!

AUGGHAUUGUAHAGUAGHAUGHU!!!!!

Oh well....

My day will come...Built ZC

Wanna give me your ZDyne since you don't seem to be using it j/j too bad....I knew my clutch wouldn't hold once my turbo was on even though it was brand new (4 month old) so I bought a dual friction centerforce clutch....haven't driven my car since it had the new clutch and turbo put on but this weekend I get it and I am going to the track so I will post my times....don't ecpect much my tires suck nuts.....My car is 600kms away getting the work done that is why I haven't driven it yet....been two weeks I am going through withdrawl.....

True. It was my first time.

But non-the less...my 60 foot's were only 2.5 even with NO launch, and with the correct hard part's I could have easily brought it down.

I could have also brought the time's down IF I had done more run's, but I wanted to save my clutch.

Wanna see my worst time?...
-Launched at 3000. Burned clutch. Didn't even move.
-shifted into second...burned clutch AGAIN.
-shifted BACk into first...and I made a...

YES, I losed to a freaking NEON!!!!!

But this guy didn't make me look too bad...

I did have fun though.

Haha ah well car looks good

I only ran a 16.5 with my ZC the first time out to "Not with the turbo" Its all about expierence. When my brother had his 99si all he could run was a 16.3, then after racing about 10 times he ran mid 15's

True.

Then again, your not going to go fast no matter HOW good you are if your car's not working right.

Maybe next time you should start in second, then shift into third like at 5000 rpms.

Well you had a valid point though. I could have been faster with more practice.

But If I had just 2 working part's on the car(Clutch, wastegate) I could have turned in MUCH better times.

OHHHHHH!!!!! BTW, I forgot to mention(punches himself in the face)...
I did my run's in PART throtal. I didn't run WOT, because the boost kept falling off.
I stayed in Part throtal and got around 7-8psi of boost, but in WOT past 4000RPM the boost would fall like a rock(to around 5-6 psi). Plus if I had run the car in WOT, the clutch wouldn't have held past 5000. I wonder if I would have turned better times running WOT and 5psi then part throtal and 8psi of boost. Unfortunatly I never tried. Oh well.

Damn, I'm shitting my pant's for not mentioning that.

"im jw...why would you go to the track if you knew your car was running 100%..."

Ummmmmm to have fun? Isn't that why were in this Hobby/Lifestyle NE way's?
I did have a lot of fun!! I don't regret going at all.

My freind insisted on going, and I really just wanted to see what It could do before I Finish my ZC build-up.

If I got stuck there oh well. My freind would have towed me home. I have an Exedy clutch waiting to go in with the Built ZC, so If I NEEDED to have the car ready, I would have just swaped in the clutch a little early.

Also, I am not one to worry about something like that. **** happens.
