What does everyone launch at on the track???
Any techniques????

 

Tire PSI - 20
RPM - 5100
Clutch - full dump
accelerator - feather to keep it off the rev limiter till you hook up
result - 2.2 60' times at least

I did it with just my intake and new tires. It seems to work with me.

 

2K on street tires. Dumping the clutch.

Pretty well modded LS. Still gets some spin but not enough to change my ways.

 

I have heard that slipping the clutch does the best work of all. I work at a shop, so I have heard them all. One of my customers who drives a WRX and his wife drives a GSR says that, slipping the clutch gives the best 60 foot times. When he drove it he was pulling 2.0 60' times. It will alow you to get full traction while your clutch moderates the power.

 

I usually slip out the clutch from about 4.5k.

I also end up shifting into 2nd by the time I'm at the tree.............

 

i hold it anywhere from 4000-4500 and baby out the clutch and dump it at the last second...gets a lil wheel spin on my azenis then its all good.

 

3000rpm-4000rpm

 

and no higher on my street tires....

 

i cant launch any higher than 1700 rpm. and i try to slip the clutch, it always gives me a nasty wheel hop. even a peel out through second gear. i guess its my suspension. im only running on skunk coilsover.

 

i think 1700 is too low...
all you will get is wheel hop and bog

Mmm...Lunch sounds good...at work with no break..i freaken starving!!

 

i tried launching at 3000. all i got was to much wheel hop and n endless chirp in 1st gear and 2nd gear. 3rd gear was alright. n my car didnt bog out at all. i didnt get any wheel hop at 1700. i know it seems low, but i think i need a z10 radius bar, or adjustable shocks.

 

i hav falken zeix 502. there not the best. but it gets me places. i can spend them likk theres no tomorrow. maybe i just need bigger wheels. im running on 15 acura se.

 

i usually just hold the gas pedal to the floor and let the engine bounce off the rev limiter and then drop the clutch and let the traction control handle traction. works best taking off in second gear like that.

 

the trick is to let off the cluch without gasing and right when the engine is about to choke you floor it and keep your foot there.

EXACTLY......seems he knows how to drive....same thing i do works the best....takes some practice though
