idle problem
i just did an ls swap into an EK. However i am experiencing idle problems. when my car starts up when it's cold the rpm goes up and down for about 30 second then it holds at normal 750 rpm. when i wait a few more minutes (4mins) the idle drops down to 400rpm. then it slowly increase back to 750 and repeat it self over and over. I've cleaned the whole intake manifold. new gasket, clean out the IAVC, TB, and did the wire conversion from 3 to 2. but it still has this problem. the timing is dead centered. new wires, plugs, cap and rotor. im just clueless of what is wrong with the problem....any suggestion or ideas?
Try adjusting the idle screw.
1) Motor must be warmed up
2) Jump the service check connector (SCS)
3) Unplug the IACV
4) Adjust the idle screw to set RPMs to about 500.
5) Turn off engine, plug in IACV, unjump SCS

Beat me to it.
You sir have a vacuum leak. Make sure all the vac lines are plugged in and none of them are loose or have holes in them. Sometimes when motors are shipped or stored holes can grace themselves on vac lines. Rats, shipping dmg, etc.
My bet is that a vac line is just switch around.

English?
Sounds like a vacuum leak of some sort to me if the IACV is functioning correctly. Do you have a haynes manuel for your motor? Check the diagram of the manifold to make sure you have all the right connections.

You are an idiot.
Not a single one of your 11 post on H-T have been helpful in anyway.

I am a tech at a honda dealership. You will need to do an idle learn procedure. When your engine is cold turn off all accessories and engage e brake so your daytime runners dont come on. Start car and let run until your rad fan cycles twice then shut off vehicle for ten minits. If that did not solve the prob try replacing your idle control valve. But anytime you disconnect your battery you must perform the idle learn procedure.

Same, sounds crazy. Is it some sorta cheat code for hondas?
'*up, down, down, up, left, R1, R2, L2'*
Heyyy!.. my idle works again.

Did you try it? Or look for a vacuum leak?
An easy test is to seafoam your car through the brake booster and see if smoke or seafoam leaks anywhere in your engine bay.
