Thinking about Hondata, can someone plz explain it...
I reviewed their site, but I need some clarification on Hondata.
Can someone please list the features it offers, and some pricing on the different setups. Do they have a setup for a B16a CRX w/N2o? Would it be useful, or should I go with like a Mugen program w/VAFC? What different "levels" of programming do they have, and what are you opinions on it?
Thanks,
jB

Hondata works very well. My friend went 10.58 with a Hondata.
Hondata is a system that allows you to use custom fuel/ign maps for optimal power. Unless you are professional racer this is all you need to be mean on the streets.

Hondata does not know about nitrous. It can compensate for boost, however.
If you want to use the engine management alone to handle fuel with nitrous, you'll need a more powerful system (something that can engage a second fuel map when the nitrous solenoid is engaged). Think Speedpro, AEM EMS, etc...
For a boosted street car, Hondata is definately the way to go. Fewer headaches and less tuning necessary than with a full blown management system...
With just I/H/E, Hondata is not going to be worth the cost and the tuning unless you plan to go forced induction in the future, or plan on some SERIOUS N/A modifications (spec b/cs, ITBs, etc).

Dustin is right. But if you want to play with your system a bit and have datalogging etc, it's nice and won't cost too much. IM me for pricing.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I heard of micro-tech. I spoke with Sam from Au today. I was asking couple of questions about there engine management program. You can use theres as a stand alone or as a piggyback. Has alot of features, you can use it with either a lap top or hand controller. The laptop gives you more options as well.
But I am still debating Micro tech or Hondata. I can get microtech for a real good deal.
