Rebuild Or Buy a New Engine?.......Advice Needed!
I have a 95 Prelude SE.....with 108,000 miles on it's H23a...and I love the car but I don't like the mileage. I'd like to start working on this cars engine..an NA car....should I rebuild my current H23a with new head....pistons.....rods...header..or should I just buy a JDM H22A? I'm thinking the H22A would be just as much as all those parts for the H23 combined....leaving me with a newer engine with more HP and more mod possibilities......Thanks for your advice on this subject..
It is the opinion of many tuners that the H23 is one of the worst engines honda has manufactured... Personally, I think you should go with the H22, it will definitally give you more options for aftermarket parts.
Hope that helps!

if you can find a good deal on a nice H22, I'd go with it, it is a sweet engine with many mod possibilities. As mentioned before the H23 isnt that great but it can be rebuilt fairly easily and give good results as well, but if I had to chose I'd go with the H22, just find a good place to do the install.
