need help bad
working on an h23 mechanic says there was engine sludge. Dropped oil pan looked okay, checked timing belt, checked timing. has spark and fuel no ignition. Crank moves freely. Figured a bad ring put oil pan back on go to start. Now i get a glug glug noise from oil pan and i put the compression tester on(to see if i have a bad ring) and get nothing needle doesnt move. The comp tester works put it on my car when it was reading 0 and it read fine. does anyone have an idea on where i can start. The starter works turns flywheel the crank turns but no ignition. im out of ideas on where to start now and why the comp test is reading 0.
all the wires work plugs are fairly new and the distrubtor works all 4 wires give spark. also a friend of mine told me if one cylinder is bad the car should still run on the other 3 just rough idle i duno if this is right and other help apprectiated
i only ran the one cyl 4 and then i checked my car to make sure it wasnt the compression tester but by theni was so frustrated i stopped working i am going to check the rest eitehr tommrow or monday
