VSS ABS problem
hey everyone. i pulled the abs code and i got 4-4 which is right rear wheel VSS. well im only 15 lol and i know what it does but i dont know where it is or how it looks. what can be wrong with it? the speedo is working perfect but i dont know if the ABS is. can someone show me how to change it out and how it looks and what not? thanks
sounds like you need to do some research bud...buy a helms manual, or a factory manual and start reading...
changing a speed sensor is a pretty straight forward, remove the wheel, examine the hub/rotor area, there should be some wires running from the hub to the body, follow that wiring to the hub where you will find the sensor bolted to hub ( I believe it is a single 10mm bolt) You'll probably have to fight with it/destroy it to remove due to corrosion, clean the hole in the hub and the mounting surface for the sensor and install the new sensor
if you need a better explanation than that, a manual is going to be your best bet, good luck
