Default Need Techinal Help on a civic

Hey how you guys doin. I'm from the vortex and have heard alot about your site and I also go to a vocational school where a friend and I are working on a

1989 Civic SW with a 1.5 16v and it won't start. Its getting spark and plenty of fuel and the No.2 Cyclinder is flooded and there may be gas in the oil. Do you guys have any tips on what we could do to make this thing run?

Make sure you're OK with all the basics, first. Like the plug wires in the right firing order? Camshaft timing OK?

Gas in the oil isn't good, but it won't keep it from starting. You can change the oil but that's not your immediate problem.

Pull the plugs, dry them (or replace them). Disable the fuel (unplug injectors?) and crank with WOT to dry out the cylinders.

Any other strange things about it's behavior??

We have removed the spark plugs and all seem well. Gap was fine. We also checked the timing and firing order an all that seemed was ok.

We pulled of the VC and did a compression test which is as follows

#1 125
#2 150
#3 125
#4 125

Which it seems to me that the #2 cylinder is recieving to much fuel thus causing the motor to flood out but yet I'm not really sure.

No, there isn't really any other problems and there may be once the car actually runs but until then I have no clue.

We are letting the engine dry out in a heated building over the weekend and are installing a new set of plugs on monday.

maybe you have a stuck fuel injector
but ther would never be enough fuel in the cylinder
to bump compression like that. i think there es
something wrong with either the ignition system or the ecu

When you say a stuck injector do you me stuck open? I thought injectors were electronic and had only one valve to let fuel in.
