vx wiring harness is it junk?or coule it be usted?

Default vx wiring harness is it junk?or could it be used?

so i got this vx wiring harness ( didnt find out it was a vx till i got it and resold it ) well now i have it just sittin here.. i mean its all ready wired for vtec so is this harness junk? or can i rewire it some how and make it usefull to use on any obd1 single vtec motor? ive already search and only diffrence it looks like is vx has 5 wire o2 so if i change that to a 4 wire will it be ready to use..? btw this will not be going back into a vx chaisse any help would really help thanks

But you resold it so it shouldn't matter.

it does matter since i have it now and would like to get use out of it rather than have it just laying around BUMP for some good info

after some searching it looks like i need to change it out to a 4 wire o2 sensor

Keep it for harness plugs at the very least. I can't tell you how handy those are to have when you accidentally smash a sensor plug.

the VX wiring harness is OBD1

Two thing you need to do.

5-4 wire O2 sensor.

Knock sensor, I don't think it has one.

Other than that it is perfect to use on your OBD1 single cam motor. Or even OBD1 DOHC!!

thank you very much on that info i had read something about a knock sensor but wasnt sure... anything else you can think of? any pins to change on the shock tower plugs??

how about an hx harness i have two plugs one is an 8 connector and the other is a 7
they are on the left side right above the tranny and the arent being used.
i went from a y7oin my 96 to a gsr.
so i dont knbow if the mechanic changed my harness or if it was already there
because i cant find the primary o2 senso plug
