Default Parts and services to make the most reliable b20/vtec

Like the title says, what are some good parts and services I can do to the block to make it last as long as possible? I don't really know anything about b20/vtecs. I'm not looking to make it faster or anything but I definitely want it to last a very long time. I'm probably going to have a shop do almost all of it, what would be some good things for them to do to it to make it last longer?

Well I just hear alot of people having problems with their b20/vtecs. What I'm asking is what other than regular maintainence could I do to keep my motor last longer? Maybe somehow raise the redline past 7k?

Get a vtec water pump. ARP rod bolts. If you can notch your rods for GSR bearings. Tune the car on 92 octane and run nothing but 92 octane. Do your routine matinence and you should be good to go.

the reason u keep hearing problems with ls/vtecs or b20/vtecs is because alot of KIDS just slap a vtec head on the block and think they can rev to 8500 or even higher with no problem. when in reality u cant do that. with a stock ls/vtec or b20/vtec i would recommend keeping the revs down. other than that i reccomend everything smileycvc said.
