bent valves

if i had bent valves how would i know? i have grayesh black smoke coming out of my muffler. is ther a way to check the valves with out taking the head off?

if u had bent valves, the car would run just it wouldnt rev up. black smoke means it is running rich i think. maybe u need a new set of plugs, they might be not burning all the gas.

thank you i will check and it revs up hella good so it is not a valve

compression nd leakdown tests would be the first thing.

a bent valve would run and rev up it would just lack power and you would know it cuz i had a bent valve in my d15 and when i took the head off you could see light thought the valve when it was closed
