Default lost

i was pritty sure i bent my vavles i had down shifted from 3 into 2 and my car jumped to probley about 8500 rpm. it died on me as soon as i got to a stop light then started back up and did that pritty much every time i stoped but was fine when i was moving. i took it up to a shop and my number 3 cylender was at like 140 and he said i probably bent some valves. i took my head off and brought it back up to them and they said it looks like there fine. so what do i do next could it b my piston rings or did the vavles just need to b ajusted

Try doing a valve adjustment, and if that doesn't fix it, then take it somewhere else and have them look at the valves. I give it a 90% chance that you did bend some valves....

What were the results of the other cylinders? 140psi your car should still run. Variance between the cylinders should not be more that 29PSI. How do the pistons look?

Did you check stupid things also like vacum lines and what not. In my lude i had bent all 8 exhuast valves. The car would shut off when i stopped and ran extremely rough. I still managed to drive the car 20 miles home.
I would be willing to bet on bent valves. Have you delt with the shop before that you took it to.

well not me but my friend with a 98 sh did. he did the same thing as me and they said the same thing .he had them do some port work and then they told him the valves were bent. the reason i took my car there is they have delt with only hondas and acuras for 20 years and he was vary saticfied with the work they did. i assumed that they just made a mistake with the valves.
