Does Offset Mess up your Car?

I don't know what offset my rims are but the tires stick out a bit more than the fenders, that's how bad it is. I was wondering if this is bad, my friend says it's not good for the wheel bearings, true?

Trying to find wheel offset of oem wheels and have no luck. Any ideas where these specs could be found?

What car did the wheels come off of? What car do you have?

The offset should be stamped inside the rims.

+38 is standard on a lot of Civics.

it's a 94' 2dr DX. They're the stock, silver painted steels. I know most aftermarket and premium factory wheels have the offset stamped or cast in to them. But i haven't seen them on my factory steels.

They're usually stamped on the outer lip of steel wheels.
