hitting the rev limiter is no big deal. its there for a reason, and its just doing its job.

oh is it guna blow up at 3:36pm also? or when i hit 762.4 miles? knew i was going to get stupid *** responses.

if you knew that it was okay to hit rev limiter a couple of times and if you knew that you were going to get stupid responses for a question that's been answered many times. Why did you post? [LOL]

 

Just try to stay away from it, makes me feel dumb when I hit it

 

yeah, ive hit it quite a few times and im nervous that i may have hurt my engine, it only has 2k miles on it, am i safe?

haha as soon as mine had 600 miles and was warm....ive been on or at limiter ALL day

 

The engine is balanced to 10,000rpm and the value train can handle 8,500rpm without a problem. The only thing you are doing by hitting the rev limiter is killing your gas mileage. However, hitting the rev limiter on all your shifts will definitely reduce your engine life.

 

I get mad when I hit it once in a while, means I missed a good chance to shift hah.

 

doesnt that just **** you off! i got smoked by a benz last night cuz i misshifted 3rd and then i heard the rev limiter and was like oh isht, i just broke my new car!!!!!!!!

 

what kind of benz?

 

im not sure exactly to be honest but it was a v8, but i swear we were neck and neck until i fcuked up 3rd! i looked like an *** but the guy gave me the thumbs up on my ride so it was cool.

 

hey, it was a CLS class benz

 

Those cls's are naasssty fast. Especially the 550 supercharged ones...
