Flashy?

None taken...its not for everyone. Honestly though, if you want to go all-motor, id say pick up an ITR.

Yea, whoever really told you that is retarded.

But still, the H22 swap is just too played out for me. I JUST drove an H22 hatch and was really not impressed at all. Yes it has monstrous torque compared to the Torqueless wonder, but still.....

they told me that the motor is way 2 heavy for a coupe and that you will barely feel an increase in power

WTF?!

You need to stop listening to these people, because they really have no idea what they're talking about......at all.

Too heavy?...how the expletive can that possibly make any sense?

I suppose the H22 is too heavy for the "Prelude COUPE" huh?....i hope these people who told you this are reading this thread......YOU'RE STUPID!

people talk **** because there's tons of people who have already done this swap and if you would've searched you would've answered your own question.

Anybody that says there's no difference between a stock B16 and a stock JDM H22 needs to be executed.

The H22 drops a ****-ton more HP and even more torque.
At the flywheel:
B16: tq = 113lb/ft tq. (A stock Z6 drops 106lb/ft tq. at the flywheel, lol)
H22: tq = 161 lb/ft tq.

As carroll shelby said - "Horsepower sells motor cars, but torque wins motor races."

The H22's a beast.

A B16 is what a ricer has a wet dream about.

Two different engines.

Man....i feel ya on this! lol

I PERSONALLY just dont like this because its a very played-out swap. But thats just my opinion. However, I will never go against the fact that the JDM H22 is FAR BETTER motor than the B16.

Cant really say "its good to go all-motor" because it just depends on what your overall goals are.

I guess you can say its a "little" more reliable than being boosted, but once you tap into the internals, reliability is up in the air.

Like i said...ITR swap

turbo your b16 , you could get 230-240 on stock internals pretty easy and it will be way cheaper than a H swap

i dont really like turbo and if i ever would turbo a car i wouldnt got for 230whp turbo its might be quick but its just plain stupid putting a small *** turbo on a car that u can get the same hp doing all motor and then take the car like nothing on the track

Depends on your driving skill bud.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bossm &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i dont really like turbo and if i ever would turbo a car i wouldnt got for 230whp turbo its might be quick but its just plain stupid putting a small *** turbo on a car that u can get the same hp doing all motor and then take the car like nothing on the track</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ehh...this is very controversial. Im going to take it easy on you because you seem like a pretty good guy who is at least trying to learn. However, its not just about throwing on a turbo to any particular motor. You pick the right size snail for your application and determining what your HP goals are. Honestly, you would have to build up that motor quite a bit to get 230-240whp. I know the H22 is rated at 200hp, but thats to the flywheel....not wheels. You boost that motor, and you are easily making that power plus more without breaking a sweat!

Then again, theres many factors that come into play.

Bense (I believe it was Bense) said it best:

Swaps are for people with some basic knowledge
Turbo/Superchargers are for people with more knowledge/hands on.

Not saying you dont have knowledge, but Turbos do require a lot more maintenance sorta speak
