losing power at 7krpm
Iredlined a few times tonight and realized i was losing power in the upper rpms. I turned off my music and did it again and heard a slight misfire when the rpms hit around 7,000 and the car loses some power. Another problem i have is my rpm needle dancing (going back and forth) around 4-5krpm, but the car doesnt lose power. Could all this be a distributor problem?
Do a search for all those symptoms youll find an answer I promise.
Well actually I already did it for you... it seems your car has full blown AIDS. its going to die in 6 months. Treasure the time you have with it. My Condolences

rpm fluctuating, usually caused by ignition coil. replace it.. i recommend the MSD Blaster SS, http://summitracing.com/ part number MSD-8207
never fails on me
never fails on me
I was looking at coils on summit and I saw the MSD external coil and an Accel internal coil. Both say they improve spark over the stock coil....is there any benefit/gain with the MSD external coil or go with the Accel internal?

true, but a better sparks without missing as much as a stock coil is better. then again i'm talking about putting a new coil in a 15 year old car. of course it's going to make a big difference, that's 15 years of using a coil, they get old too...
