Default b18c1 vs b18c5

I currently have a b1 with in my 94 ls but i was thinking about doing an engine swap sometime within the next year. I need some opinions if i should go with the c1 or c5 and why. And which one would be better to boost. Thanks

You shouldn't have a problem boosting either one, as long as you get a good tune afterwards.

c1 is generally better for turbo because of the lower cr and milder cams. either one will work though.

Like the others said both work quite well with boost, but if you plan on boosting you might as well as just get the C1 and boost it because C5 motors are quite a bit more expensive then the GSR motor.

doesn't matter what motor you plan to use, but its your budget that should tell the story not which one is better.

C5 is higher compression, better for NA. C1 is better for boost, but has the secondary runners on the intake that don't open until 6K.
I don't think the milder C1 cams are better for boost than the C5 cams. I've seen dyno gains on a boosted setup, just from adding in the ITR cams.

Why not just boost the LS?
