I been thinking of going with the b18c5 i heard it would be a nice choice with pistons and all and the the right bottom end build. now i was just advised that dont know if its true or what so if you guys could give me any tips and advice ill apreciate it thanks.

if you plan on upgrading all of the internals for boost (and you havent bought anything yet) i would suggest a b18c1 (saves a lot of $$$). good luck

Or just do an LS/Vtec and since you already have the bottom end you just need a vtec head. Thats certainly the cheapest route for you. Build the LS bottom end to handle the boost and slap a vtec head and your ready to roll.

why spend 5k on a b18c5 when you can spend 5k into your b18b1. you should just build the motor up and force induction it. my opinion is that in the end all the b-series just put out the same amount of power except b18b1 just dont have vtec and if your not planning to have more than 500whp running 8sec in 1/4 mile in NHRA. i dont think its nessecary to do any swaps if you already have a b-series. but thats my opinion.

yeah i have the b18b1. right now my plan is to just get the b16 head vtec which i found wit everything only thing ill need is the golden eagle kit which ill buy after i get the head. and either slap it on for now or save it to build it up and then build the block. i dont want anything superrr major just something nice and done right to hold boost and not go bam lol even like 13 psi would be nice for me or just the 300hp mark
