is this my cat?
i was driving the other day and past 4k my b18 was sputtering and acting weird, it graduallly started doing it in lower rpms. then it didnt do it when i woke up but then today i was driving and it stalled so i tried to start and it wouldnt, i left it in gear and held on the gas then it evntuallly started again, after that it happened again so i did the same thing, then i was stopped at a light all on the same trip and then it stalled at the light and hasnt been able to start since like 5pm, i would just pull it off and try but its in a parking lot right now so i cant do much, im gonna go get it tomorrow. if its the cat i was just gonna bring a jack and unbolt the cat

i replaced the plugs and it still doesnt start, i pulled them and the had oil on em so i took em home and im gonna spary em with carb cleaner or somethin should i get new wires too?
lol...well the smallest things you should test all the electrical first with a multi meter....
i didnt read the other posts....my bad...but the cause of oil in a spark plug chamber/whole is due to because of the gasket on the valve cover is brittle and or missing...
but for sputtering issues...i believe its an electrical problem.....

i know whats causes the leake, the nuts that hold down the valve cover, a few of those are old so they dont seal the cover down right.

screw it.. if you think its the cat. pull the exhaust and run an open header home... at least see if it starts and go from there... I would guess its something electrical personally. I've had some clogged cats in my day that cause some shitty mpg and power but none clogged enough to do that.
