Default Turbo Or Headers?

I have a question about my next step. I have a tanabe cat-back exshust system. Cold Air intake and A Helix power air. I want to put headers as my next step. Will I get an increase in Horse Power with headers? If so how much? and what brand should I get? 4-2-1 etc... Or should I just throw on a turbo?

Duh.

It's header, singular unless you're packin' a couple engines on your ride.

This is a pretty silly question, turbo all the way.

I know, I just want to know if header would increase the power or performance.

Yeah, it will by a couple hp. To get the most out of an i/h/e combo, you should get an AFC and dyno tune it, and probably also a vtec controller to lower the vtec engagement point.

On the other hand, $3k gets you a turbo and 100 more hp...

What is an AFC? Is is worth spending 300+ on the header?

An AFC is an Air Fuel Controller...it controls your Air/fuel ratio. If you have an EX/SE, it wont make all that much of a difference since you already have a 4-2-1 setup. Besides, if you get a turbo, you're gonna have to get a custom manifold anyway so I'd say screw the header, save up and get the turbo and be happy when you get alot more HP compared to a header.

header - 350
turbo - 3000+

youre comparing two huge things.

if you buy more than one header, as your topic suggests, may i have the other ones?

Wow! What love. You guys are something else. Should everyone waste there time readying books about things that will not make them any money? I have better things to do with my time. That is why I come on this site to get expert advice or advice from you guys. If I don't qoute things correctly forgive me. I am not a mechanic nor a magazine freak. I like to make money and when I do make it I will spend it the way I want too. I will not buy the header. Thanks Brawl for the help and advice. The others should be more like you on this site. Thanks for the love.

headers from my view are worthless...
not even worth the money for the small amount of power received...

You make a point, HOWEVER, none of us is here to attain knowledge and make money from it. In fact, what many of us learn here, costs us thousands of dollars.

huh? if you consider educating yourself about your car and your cars performance wasting time then why are you on here asking US what WE think you should do with YOUR money.........im betting youre one of those guys that pays the dealership to replace a light bulb and then shells out $50 for labor costs
