HELP CAR WONT STAY ON
K HERES THE DEAL GOT THE HEAD BACK FROM RLZ AFTER FOUR MONTHS HEADS ON WENT TO START THE CAR UP BATTERY IS COMPLETLY DEAD JUMP IT EVERYTHING LIGHTS UP I START THE CAR UP. ONCE I START THE CAR UP I HAVE TO HOLD THE GAS, IF I LET GO OF THE GAS THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND SO DO ALL THE LIGHTS CAUSE THE BATTERY IS COMPLETLY DEAD. AND IM THROWING A CEL BUT CANT RUN IT CAUSE THE BATTERY DIES EVERYTIME THE CAR SHUTS OFF. WHAT DO U GUYS THINK IT COULD BE?????
sorry for the caps im at work and have to type everything in caps to work on my programs and also do u think it could be a vacum leak or the battery that will keep it turning off?????

check the voltage of the battery. if its good, try to start it. if it starts and then dies, check the voltage after it dies. if it doesnt start at all but the voltage is good, check your grounds and power at the starter. did u plug in the alternator connector and power? if the alternator isnt plugged in then its not going to charge the battery and it will keep dying. triple check your other sensors and connectors to the head and IM. also check that your timing belt/cams are properly set.

well if it that sensor then basically the ECU doesnt know what the ECT is and therefore may not be adding fuel for cold startup/fast idle situation. id be willing to bet its just not plugged in.
the battery is complety dead wont light anything up after jump and shows no voltage and yes the altanator is pluged in i never unplugged it. and for the tps and map sensor i never unpluged them either as well. and also i let the car warm up holding the gas and it still shut off on me after it was warmed. would the water temp sensor not let the car idle and stay on??? cause thats the code im throwing CEL 6
if you can get it to start again, try to hold the rpm and have someone check the voltage at the alternator.
im not sure if a bad or unplugged water temp sensor would prevent the car from running properly or at all. i would think it would be more of a problem on cold start ups but dont know for sure.
how did you put on a head without unplugging the map/tps?

i unbolted the manifold from the head and left the intake manifold caonnected with everything, TB, injecotrs, etc
i put a new battery in the car the car. now starts and holds idle, except when its cold and i turn the wheel all the way to one direction it shuts off, but the CEL annoys me. where exacltly is the water temperature sensor so i can start to diagnose the problem i think i know which sensor it is i just want to make sure

Sounds like an altenator issue, could be that the altenator isn't properly chargning the battery. That would explain why your battery died, would also explain why you had to hold the gas for it to say on. Put a voltmeter to the battery when it is on. See what it reads.
Or just a bad ground. Make sure your tranny ground is making a good clean secure connection. And did you put back the valve cover ground on the right spot? Make sure that is also making a good connection.

It's on the side of your head. You probally didn't plug it in.
