Coolant Leak Help

So i turn my car on today and let it warm up. As im standing there i begin to notice a coolant leak begin to take place. A Nice steady drip. It was coming out around the bottom of the timing belt near the oil pan.
Sorta confused as to what it could be??? HMMM

Hopefully its not block related, theres not a lot of coolant lines down by there, could be from the back of the block, maybe you burst one of the coolant lines for the IAC, which is directly under the intake manifold, coming off the back of the block.

sounds like your water pump just said bye bye. you see, there is a bleeder valve on the water pump, and well, when it goes bad coolant will leak from there. a nice steady stream.
had it been a hose, you would have most likely heard more of a hissing noise rather than a steady stream.

how hard is it to change out the water pump you ask. it all depends on your mechanical skills. it's one of those easy jobs than can go bad fast if you don't know what you are doing.
what motor do you have? SOHC or DOHC?

yeah, well it all depends on your skills, confidence, and wallet.
it's really not a hard job. i do suggest if you are feeling frisky, pick up a repair manual. it'll show and tell you step by step the procedures taken to do the job.
any repair manual for a 94-01 integra will do.

Trending Topics
Look everywhere else before you go out and change the water pump. When was the last time it was replaced? Look at hoses and other parts on the car, inspect it good because sometimes they are hidden.

agreed, spend some time under the car. the only thing that leaks in that area is the water pump. and from the photo you posted, the coolant on the pan, is running to there then dripping. look at hoses beind the motor and around the intake manifold.
chances are it might be your pump, but always start trouble shooting with the easiest and cheapest first.

shouldn't be too bad to change it out. my bro forgot to tighten down the waterpump on h22 eg prior to putting the motor back in and it wasnt too bad while the motor was in the engine bay. b16 should be a piece of cake

no, i wouldn't trhough anything in my coolant system other than coolant. the only way (the right way) to fix a leak is to find it, seal it, and/or replace it (depending what and where the leak is coming from).

3" tops? WTF? huh, you do know you have to remove the driverside mount and jack the motor up so it's sitting on a slant. i had way more than 3" when i did mine.

no, i wouldn't trhough anything in my coolant system other than coolant. the only way (the right way) to fix a leak is to find it, seal it, and/or replace it (depending what and where the leak is coming from).
