GOT A CHECK ENGINE AND SRS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey I got a 95civic si that has a gsr engine. It is giving me a check engine light. How can I check it without taking it to the shop? I also got a srs light. The airbags are fine its just I took out the airbag and started the car and it turned on because the airbag was not in so how do I turn it of or clear it without a shop? rotascircuit@yahoo.com THANX
with the key off HOLD down the odomoter trip reset button in ur gauge cluster and then turn the key to the on position and keep holdint the lil button down till ur maintenence required light starts flashing IT will disappear after it flashes then u can release the button and BAM problem solved (key on) not the motor OH and ur srs light i dunno but i have the same problem

He never mentioned the maintenance light.
Anyways, do a search on here and you can find out how to read your MIL/CEL code. All you need is a paper clip or a thin wire

That is how you reset the maintenance light, not the check engine light.
Disconnect your neg. battery terminal for a minute or two and reconnect. Srs and check engine light should reset. Do a search and you will find out how to jump your SCS connector to flash your check engine light codes. Might even be in the faqs.

u can see what the check engine light is comin up off buy takenb a small peice of speaker wire to the pass side of the car goign under the glove box and taken down the 2 plugs that r there ....1 plug is a 3 wire the other is a 2 wire ...... take the 2 wire plus and stick the speaker wire into it making it run a closed loop ..... then turn the key on the on posstion and watch for the check engine light to flash ...... quick flashes are courted as 1 ..... if the light stays on for 3 seconds it counts as 10 ..... then go to hybrid.com and look at the code u count out and it will tell u what the light is on for
