Default Do Civic VXs have FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve)??

Hi guys,

I was trying to troubleshoot a sometimes high/sometimes fluctuating idle on my 92 VX. Looked for the FITV, but couldn't find it..

what engines have FITV? Looks like I have the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve), but I don't see any holes in the throttle body inlet...

any info would be great, thanks.

Are you sure you are looking in the right spot? You should be looking for 2 coolant lines underneath the throttle body.

Is your engine throwing a code or does it just have a fluctuating idle?

yea, i know I'm looking in the right spot because there was a reference picture in a thread/website..when i take my intake pipe off, under the throttle inlet, there isn't really anything down there..i'll have to take a picture tomorrow..but yea..i kept double checking, but didn't see anything there..

i'll triple check tomorrow and possibly even take a pic to show you guys..maybe someone can chime in to say whether a VX actually has one for sure or not..

thanks tho
