Did you connect all the vacuum lines?

the fast idle valve is under your throttle body...
sometimes whats inside gets lose, so just take it apart and screw it back in

I am guessing that the one that you said there was no place to connect it to is the one that was connected right where the intake meets the throttle body?
I have heard of problems like you are having being caused by leaving that hose out. What I did was make a small hole in the rubber where the CAI meets the throttle body. Took the metal piece that hose was connected to on the stock intake and put that in the small hole you made in the rubber. Just be sure not to make the hole too big. That should fix your problem.

Okay. the hose i didnt connect was a long hose that ran from the intake control solenoid box to the intake control diaphragm. also there is a hose that is not connected that is on top of the intake manifold but it is short and i cant find anything that would connect with it.

with the fast idle valve. it was not loose so do i still take it off and put it back on?
