problems with the idel

Default problems with the idel

ok i just put in a zc motor and i am having trouble with the idel the cable is right lose and the idel is at almost 2000 and with it been driving for awile the rpm keeps on going up and down like a yoyo when i am at idel if some can let me know what it could be it will be alot of help thanks

Are you saying the throttle cable is loose?

You either hooked up the vaccuum lines incorrectly, your idle is set too high, the throttle cable is too tight or the IACV is dirty / malfunctioning.

also...did you fill and bleed the coolant system correctly?...air bubbles in the system confuse the iacv and cause the idle to fluctuate. your throttle cable is more than likely too tight, loosen it all the way, then start the car...see if it still idles high.

is the iacv the same as the one on my old 1.5 if it is i will switch it cause i know that one works good still

i dont know first honda motor swap i ever did and my idel is all screwed up and i am trying to fix it i thight i did pretty good so far if thats the only problem i got since i did alot of wirerings

well i did had to do a timming belt on it cause the old one was starting to rip apart
